✨Nostalgic moment✨

One of my clients lives just a few steps from this beach. I came to my shift thinking I had never been to this area before. I arrived super early! 50 solid minutes ahead of time! Honestly because I was nervous about driving somewhere new.

Since I had time to spare, I decided to walk down to the beach… and that’s when I realised I’d actually been here before. For an entire year, I came twice a week with my ventilated client for her physiotherapy sessions. I never knew there was a rock pool here because I only ever saw the beach from the balcony where I spent my 30-minute breaks.

Seeing it now fills me with joy but also a bit of nostalgia. I remembered those moments on the balcony praying for a smooth shift and thinking about my client. That season of my life was one of the toughest, yet it changed me the most(stronger, more resilient and became extremely grateful).

Now, still working as a community nurse but with a different company, I feel genuinely grateful. Beautiful views like this remind me how blessed I am and how far I’ve come.❤️

❤️Nothing beats having great food with your love ones♥️

Nothing beats having great food with your love ones.

It was one busy, long day last Friday, overflowing with emotions due to an unexpected circumstance. My partner’s work ute broke down, and his work could have been compromised. But God is good—because I didn’t have any community nursing shifts, and my sleep clinic shift only started after 6 in the evening, my partner was still able to use my little car during the day for small jobs. These small projects only required a few cuts of timber, so it was the perfect load for my car.

Anyway, Black Friday came, and we drove west to check out a car dealer—a long trip from where we live. The scorching sun drained all our energy while we inspected the prospective ute. Then came the processing of the car purchase, which took us five hours, and we still didn’t go home with the new ute because there were a few things that needed to be arranged.

After spending hours at the dealership under the hot sun, we finally had time to meet my closest friend who lives nearby. We had planned this catch-up beforehand, not because of this whole car breakdown drama. I love this friend so much because we both started our journey in Australia carrying our dreams, and we’ve been through a lot together.

Next priority: filling our “tummy sinkholes.” We found a place online with great reviews—Aged Steakhouse—which serves premium halal food. Their bestseller is the tomahawk beef (or tomahawk steak), a thick-cut ribeye with the long rib bone still attached. The bone is usually Frenched (cleaned) so it looks like the handle of a tomahawk axe—hence the name.

Their tomahawk weighed 1.6 kg, made for sharing, and it was definitely too much for just the two of us, even with our desperate tummy sinkholes. My friend isn’t a big fan of beef, so we ordered individual mains plus some appetisers. The tomahawk is pricey, but reasonable if shared by true beef lovers.

The food exceeded all our expectations—and we’re not critics, we just want something delicious. They nailed it. The dishes were divine, and the staff looked after us so well, always smiling. It was the perfect way to end a long, exhausting day, and our tummy sinkholes were finally satisfied. The restaurant is highly recommended, especially with the show-stopping presentation of the 1.6 kg tomahawk (we saw it being served at another table 🤩). Just search “Aged Steakhouse Liverpool Sydney” online.

Thank you, readers. Until the next chapter of life—look after yourself and enjoy every moment.
